AIスーツケース開発における清水建設の取り組み
本稿では、視覚障害者の移動を支援する自律走行ロボット「AIスーツケース」に関する取り組みを紹介する。AIスーツケースは一般社団法人次世代移動支援技術開発コンソーシアム(AIスーツケースコンソーシアム)によって開発が進められており、大阪・関西万博での実証実験も実施されていた。清水建設(株)はコンソーシアム設立計画時より参画しており、その開発や広報に貢献してきた。また、コンソーシアムの技術を応用しつつ、独自の「清水建設版AIスーツケース」を開発し、要素技術研究、被験者実験、デモンストレーションなどの活動を行ってきた。本稿では、これらの活動について詳述する。
AI Suitcase: Shimizu Corporation's Activities and Development
This paper introduces activities related to the "AI Suitcase," an autonomous mobile robot designed to improve accessibility for the visually impaired. The AI Suitcase is currently being developed by the Consortium for Advanced Assistive Mobility Platform (CAAMP, or the AI Suitcase Consortium). Demonstration experiments of the AI Suitcase were conducted at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. As a consortium member, Shimizu Corporation has been involved since the planning phase of the consortium's establishment, contributing to its development and public relations. Furthermore, by applying the consortium's technology, Shimizu Corporation has developed its own "Shimizu-version AI Suitcase" and has engaged in activities such as elemental technology research, user experiments, and demonstrations. This paper elaborates on these activities.
